On the Frontlines

"I want to express my appreciation for the quality of the Toughbook. I am currently deployed to Iraq and have been using a CF-29 for 24-hour operations 7 days a week in the 8 months we have been here. We have been conducting tactical intelligence operations using it mounted in the vehicle as well as dismounted through difficult conditions, including an extremely hot and dusty environment. Due to these conditions and the tactical atmosphere in general we have had problems with essentially all of our equipment, with the exception of the Toughbook. The only complaints I have heard is that we had a hard drive damaged due to repeated removal from the laptop. Since we use classified hard drives, the repeated removal and improper care of them is common. In our office environment we also use the CF-48, CF-51, and CF-73 models, and they have not had any problems either. Overall the Toughbook is by far the most reliable, effective, and well-engineered piece of Government equipment I use. Thank you for providing the Soldiers with quality equipment."

Sincerely,
SGT Stephen Johnson
